Distinct from standard issue wool berets, this multi-panel cotton construction was designed specifically for the rigors of jungle warfare in Southeast Asia. This massive corps-level command oversaw US operations in the critical III Corps Tactical Zone surrounding Saigon. This is the tactical subdued version (OD/Black) featuring a classic flat "cut-edge" border. The lack of a merrowed edge and the unsealed reverse confirm it as a 100% authentic, US-made piece produced during the conflict (late 1960s). Mint, unissued condition.

Feed the Pig! Up for sale is a fantastic, genuine Vietnam War-era US Military M19A1 ammunition can. This classic steel box features incredibly well-preserved original yellow stenciling from 1968. It originally held 200 rounds of 7.62mm linked ammunition for the iconic M60 machine gun. The stencils clearly detail the 4-to-1 Ball/Tracer mix and identify the Twin Cities Ordnance Plant (TW 68). The can is used but in great, fully functional condition with its rubber gasket intact and a beautiful authentic patina.
