Distinct from standard issue wool berets, this multi-panel cotton construction was designed specifically for the rigors of jungle warfare in Southeast Asia. This cap features the distinctive gold bullion oak leaf embroidery on the visor (commonly known as "Scrambled Eggs"), designating the rank of Major through Colonel. Manufactured by Berkshire De Luxe as a high-quality private purchase item. The size is an incredibly rare 7 3/4 (approx. 62 cm). Finding vintage headgear in this size is exceptionally difficult. Condition is excellent/very good.

This is the tactical Subdued (matte black) version authorized for field wear on Jungle Fatigues to maintain camouflage discipline. The badge is completely untouched, still sealed in its original military plastic packaging. The insert card clearly displays a DSA contract dated 10/70 (October 1970). Feed the Pig! Up for sale is a fantastic, genuine Vietnam War-era US Military M19A1 ammunition can. This classic steel box features incredibly well-preserved original yellow stenciling from 1968. It originally held 200 rounds of 7.62mm linked ammunition for the iconic M60 machine gun. The stencils clearly detail the 4-to-1 Ball/Tracer mix and identify the Twin Cities Ordnance Plant (TW 68). The can is used but in great, fully functional condition with its rubber gasket intact and a beautiful authentic patina.
