This is a highly desirable early 1st Pattern model with an incredibly crisp ink stamp dated September 18, 1959. The suspenders are in absolute New Old Stock (NOS) condition – unissued, unwashed, with stiff canvas, vibrant Olive Drab color, and flawless blackened metal hardware. While the official SF tab wasn't authorized until 1983, this piece originates from early experimental runs. It is woven with a teal/light blue background designed to perfectly "color-match" the iconic Special Forces arrowhead patch. This tab features classic vintage construction with a flat "Cut Edge" and a textbook white bobbin "snowy back." Lightly used with an authentic, "been there" patina. This specific piece features a beautifully legible military contract stamp on the back dating it clearly to 1962. It is in quite nice, lightly used condition with a great vintage patina. Complete with the distinctive leather tabs for securely attaching a bayonet scabbard, and the original steel slide keeper clips for belt mounting. A massive relic of electronic warfare in Vietnam: The AN/QSG-126 Detection Transmitting Set, Acoustic. This 15kg air-delivered sensor was designed to be dropped onto the Ho Chi Minh Trail to detect Viet Cong movement as part of the secret Operation Igloo White (McNamara Line). This is an Inert / Training example dated 1968. It remains in excellent condition with the stabilizing fins still taped for storage.

Originally produced during WWII, these rugged rubberized canvas pullovers became legendary during the Vietnam War, heavily favored by US Navy SEALs, UDTs, and USMC Force Recon to fight off the monsoon rains and river wind. This specific piece is in used, "salty" condition and features a unique factory flaw or field repair: the left sleeve is constructed from a noticeably darker shade of canvas.
