Manufactured by Berkshire De Luxe as a high-quality private purchase item. The size is an incredibly rare 7 3/4 (approx. 62 cm). Finding vintage headgear in this size is exceptionally difficult. The legendary "Sky Soldiers"! Up for sale is a genuine, Vietnam War-era 2-piece shoulder patch for the 173rd Airborne Brigade. This is the tactical subdued version (OD/Black) featuring the classic winged-sword shield and a separate "AIRBORNE" tab. The period-correct flat "cut-edge" border, along with an unsealed reverse showing classic white bobbin threads, confirms it as a 100% authentic, US-made piece from the late 60s. This is a highly sought-after early combat variant featuring black embroidery on an exposed Olive Drab green twill fabric background with a flat "Cut Edge."
