This comprehensive book - the first of a multi-volume set - presents hundreds of Air Force items with their names in over 900 color photographs, providing the reader with an accurate overview and reference covering fifty-eight Air Force units. Air Force jumpsuits, shirts, jungle jackets, headgear, insignia, weapons, plaques, souvenir lighters, and many items made in Vietnam illustrate the history of both air and ground units. A 1960s Bancroft green beret. This is a private purchase. The beret is signed Wilson. Size fits 7 1/4. The De Opresso Liber badge is slightly oxidized green on the back. The vinyl insert and lining is cigarette burned in one spot. Overall the beret is in very nice condition.

This new, extensively produced volume (the second volume in the series) is a comprehensive guide to the history, development, and use of uniforms and equipment during the participation of U.S. military advisors in the Vietnam War. Included are insignia, headgear, camouflage uniforms, modified items, body armor, boots, clothing accessories, documentary items, and personal effects from 1957-1972, which are examined in great detail. Using reconstructions and period photographs, the author presents the look and feel of U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps advisors in Vietnam. There is a separate chapter on ARVN Ranger, Airborne, and ARVN Infantry advisors, as well as Junk Force, RAG Force, and South Vietnamese Navy and Marine Corps advisors.
